Ramp from CA-168 to CA-180 westbound passing under the Cedar Ave. overcrossing. The section of CA-180 freeway from CA-168 to CA-99 was built in 1996-1999. Since this is near the interchange with CA-41, a lot of dangerous weaving & merging is common; so "braided ramps" will be built along CA-180 from CA-41 to CA-168. CA-180 travels thru the large stack interchange with CA-41, which was built in 1982 & expanded in the late 1990s. The ramp from CA-180 eastbound to CA-41 north was almost demolished due to lack of funding to build the CA-180 freeway as well as community opposition, since building this freeway resulted in demolishing several historic buildings.
