Hayes Inn, established in 1837. One of the last of the Georgian style houses which were very symmetrical. The windows were all the same size, equally spaced, and one over the front door. The fan window over the front door is a classical Loyalist style. Each window sash had 12 panes of hand made glass. by Steve Manders

The Shipyards boat launching ramp. Managed by Storrington Township. This was a port to the Rideau Canal 100 years ago to export lumber from Battersea area. This was used to ship saw and pulp logs to Ottawa, and fire wood to Kingston up to 1890 or so. by Steve Manders
