Location of the original Godfrey train station on the Kingston & Pembroke Railway, built in 1875, last used in 1960. The original post office was 150 m. south of here, and was called the Deniston P.O.. Chester Godfrey lived across the road on the right, in 1878. Highway # 38 was built in 1934 following the local township roads, and the Westport Road here was also here in 1878. That is the K&P trail just to the left of the orange truck, it uses the old K&P rail bed.
