Scottish/Irish or Celtic style fence made with granite hard head rocks. This is very unique. Granite hard heads were transported here from about 100 km. to the north, by the glaciers in the last ice age, the cap stones are local limestone. This fence is about 160 years old, and it was built without any mortar.

The "Point" a popular swimming spot, and park for Canada Day celebrations. Purchased for public use by the Sydenham Women's Institute and Board of Trade, in 1947. I never saw a piece of garbage lying around the village while photographing it. Over 1,000 students attend the two schools daily. by Steve Manders
Stone row houses, built in 1840 to house the people working at the psychiatric hospital, provincial prison, brewery, and tannery. They probably had a basement cistern for rain water and wagon loads of untreated water from polluted sources. Everyone had their own out house (toilet) in the back, It was often burried in snow, it had no lights, or you emptied a chamber pot into it daily from a partly heated house. by Steve Manders

Re-enactment of the American invasion of Bath in 1812, played by 2 Canadian ships. June 30 2012. Seven boats and ships participated in the event. The actual invasion was on November 10 1812. The Americans threatened to destroy the village of Bath if they were not given the ship "Two Brothers" They were given the ship, they burned it, and the original houses still stand. by Steve Manders
