The St.Lawrence and Hudson Railway tracks, owned by CPR, built in 1953. 1.2 million tons of nephylene syenite is transported along these tracks every year. You have some in your car safety glass, regular window glass, paint filler, ceramics, and even in your tooth paste. The K&P trail follows the K&P railway bed built in 1885. Leased to CPR in 1913 for 999 years. It was a finished hiking trail from Kingston to Verona only until 2014. The section from Verona to White Fish Lake Rd. was upgraded in 2014 at a cost of $30,000 / km. plus the cost of bridges. looking north.
