This story and a half house, built in 1843 may have had the 2 nd. floor added later. The wing on the right is the summer kitchen where the cook stove was used in the summer to prevent over heating the rest of the house. The windows appear to be original with hand made glass in oak frames, now 170 years old. by Steve Manders

The British ship Royal George, played by the U.S. Niagara in the re-enactment of the war of 1812 sails in front of the condo tower, the Royal George. June 30 2012. This ship spent the night beside the Holiday Inn, where the original ship was pounded by 6 American gun boats sailing into this narrow body of water on Nov. 10, 1812. Several houses were damaged too.
