One of the oldest houses around. This Georgian style is from the early1800's. It is built of local limestone, about a half metre thick. It is also believed to the the first house to have locally produced hydro power in 1915. The original township records that could have dated it, were deliberatly destroyed about 100 years ago. by Steve Manders

Fort Henry Hill anti-cline. This 470 million year old Gull River mid-ordovician limestone may have been thrust up by an underlying fault, running from Ft. Henry, north under Hwy # 15. The base layer of precambrium quartzite rock is barely exposed by the bush, by the side of the road. There is also a possibility that the rock was deposited over a hump forming the anti-cline in the process. by Steve Manders
Old Highway # 2, now flooded by the seaway in 1958. It continues under water straight across to the far shore. Check it out in the satellite photo. Looking NE. I was in the very last car to drive this road, the night before it was flooded. Every house, tree, fence and shrub had been removed. It looked like the prairies. by Steve Manders
