A Rideau Trail style to get over a fence in an April ice storm at 0 C. There was wide spread damage to pine trees with their dense winter floliage which caught a lot of ice. This hiking trail goes 300 km. from Kingston to Ottawa. Nine Rideau Trail members (mostly senior citizens) completed the winter end to end in 2013. They were about 3 days into this hike when this picture was taken. Some do it in January at -20 C. Younger people are too busy texting friends about bad weather. by Steve Manders
